Yes we can 心中嘅一團火

Voodoos are everywhere- the self-motivating slogans of “yes we can, just do it, impossible is nothing” are spells placed under our already hypnotic environment. Good slave believes that if one needs feeling-amplifier voodoo to empower one’s enthusiasm, one is most likely not an achiever or worst - failing but believing in the self-fulfilling prophecy. An achiever is possessed by passion only and practice is the only ritual he/she can offer. The religion of practice is to transgress from being the untrained to the trained, a charm that stands guard against all voodoos and not to bewitched by the subliminal slogans.

Despite saying that, good slave is overflowed with enthusiasm in reading the quotes by Randy Pausch (The last lecture) The feeling of high hopes that good slave believes shall be more promising when sharing with you the invisible audience…

“... the brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They are there to stop the other people.”

“If you’re going to do anything that pioneering you will get those arrows in the back, and you just have to put up with it. I mean everything that could go wrong did go wrong. But at the end of the day, a whole lot of people had a whole lot of fun.”

“You obviously don’t know where the bar should be, and you’re only going to do them a disservice by putting it anywhere.”

I love Derren Brown's stuff! The way he uses language (and many other psychological tricks) to manipulate people is so amazing!

Have you seen his "Trains of Thought" as well...?
